Rahul Bhat is one of the best actors in the industry who offers powerful performances every time. He uses his silence and glance to convey his feelings perfectly. From a grieving father to a conflicted lover, he has built a reputation in the industry through his mindblowing performances. Rahul brings truth to every frame effortlessly. Right now, we are here with two of his most powerful performances available on ZEE5 that show different sides of him perfectly.

Kennedy

Kennedy on ZEE5 is one of the best and latest movies of Rahul Bhat that brings the story of a sleepless revenge of a contract killer. Anurag Kashyap writes and directs this thriller movie and presents a story that feels quite connected. It is the story of a man, Uday Shetty/ Kennedy (Rahul Bhat), who was previously a police officer and has been presumed dead after a failed operation. The young son of Kennedy was killed in a crossfire associated with police corruption.

The powerful police commissioner Mohit Takalkar was the real culprit behind the same. Uday survived the shadows, changed his name to Kennedy and became a contract killer for the same corrupt police system that destroyed his life. He used to carry out the cold, precise and ruthless assassinations, making his character quite dangerous. Insomnia doesn’t let him sleep at night and keeps him reliving his pain over and over.

The story of the movie moves between the past and the present. Uday has been presented as a loving father, and the Kennedys as well, who kill without hesitation. His meeting with Charlie (Sunny Leone) changed his life. Charlie becomes the only person in his life whom he had opened up and can share his pain with.

The plot of the story builds to a violent and poetic climax where darkness and secrets keep haunting the audience. Chandan (Abhilash Taphilyal) adds warmth to the cold world around Kennedy. The presence of Megha Burman also adds emotional beats to the story. Cinematographer Sylvester Fonseca has beautifully turned the post-lockdown Mumbai into a character that appears to be quite realistic. Empty streets, dim lights, a city that feels dead and a lot more is there that keeps the audience hooked throughout. The music of Aamir Aziz is quite minimalist and haunting, and also amplifies the sleepless nights of Uday.

Rahul Bhat has offered a powerful performance in the movie. His expressions and silence says a lot. It really feels touching and emotional when we see him looking at the old photos of his son. The different scenes show his emptiness and make Kennedy/Uday feel realistic.

Daas Dev

Daas Dev is another one of the best movies by Rahul Bhat, which is a modern adaptation of Devdas. The story of the movie is set in the world of Bihar politics. It is the story of a young man from a powerful political family, Dev Pratap Chauhan (Rahul Bhat), who falls deeply in love with Madhavi (Richa Chadha). Madhavi is the daughter of the rival politician. The romance between the two initiates an impossible start.

The story of the movie takes on an interesting twist when Dev’s father plans his marriage to Chandani (Aditi Rao Hydari) to secure his political power. The movie beautifully shows the situation of Dev, who is being torn between love and family duty and the pressure that slowly destroys him.

The movie beautifully shows the downfall of Dev, including his alcohol addiction, heartbreak, betrayal and revenge. He loses everything, including his love, his family and his sense of self after this. The movie beautifully presents the dirty politics of Bihar on screen. Saurabh Shukla is the corrupt politician, Deepraj Rana is his rival, and Vineet Kumar is the loyal friend of Dev in the movie.

Rahul’s scenes with Richa Chadha are quite tender and tragic. The love and pain feel quite real and touching. It is really interesting and painful to see how family expectations and political games ruin the life of a man.
