Throwback To The Time When Kareena Kapoor Thought Amitabh Bachchan Was Evil; Amitabh Shared This Instance In His Blog

Amitabh Bachchan once revealed an incident from the set of Pukar (1983), in which he washed the feet of a grieving Kareena Kapoor and tried to persuade her that he is not evil. In 2013, he wrote about this experience on his blog.

Amitabh Bachchan stated in his blog post that Kareena was very concerned when she watched him beating up her father Randhir Kapoor while filming an action sequence. Kareena Kapoor clutched Randhir Kapoor firmly to ‘protect’ him from Amitabh Bachchan’s attacks.

He was telling Kareena Kapoor about a day when they were filming Pukar in Goa and she was wearing a gorgeous summer hat with small pink flowers on it and how concerned she was when Amitabh Bachchan attacked her father during an action sequence. She had raced onto the sets innocently and clutched to her father to protect him from this evil man who was beating him up.

Amitabh Bachchan stated how Kareena Kapoor seemed to warm up to him after he washed her feet. She was unrelenting and highly upset, despite the fact that she was in tears and clearly anxious. She soiled her precious little feet in the sand, and to calm her down, he asked for some water and washed her small feet clean, to help her realize that this performance was not for real, but rather acting. She seemed to have changed her mind about him after he washed her feet, he thought. He wasn’t so evil, he stated, after all, she still recalls that moment.

Amitabh shared a photo of Kareena sobbing on the set of Pukar and him caring for her hurt foot in 2019.  That’s Kareena Kapoor on the sets of PUKAR in Goa. she’d come with dad Randhir. She’d wounded her foot, was putting medication on it and taping it, he wrote.

On the work front, Amitabh and Kareena have appeared in films like Dev, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and Satyagraha. She also made her film debut in JP Dutta’s Refugee, opposite his son Abhishek Bachchan (2000).
