In recent years, many of our divas have bestowed upon us some gorgeous traditional attire. Our B-town ladies have shown us how to bring a contemporary touch to our traditional attire with a sensual backless look in everything from salwar suits to sarees to lehengas. You may up the glam factor by wearing a backless kurta or a backless blouse. Here are a few divas who wore their ethnic clothing backless.
Alia wore a Manish Malhotra vintage nude-toned Anarkali suit that she looked stunning in. It had a padded front, a low neckline, and full sleeves, as well as a backless design. An ankle-length Anarkali, churidar pants, and a sheer dupatta were part of the silk ensemble. The gold thread embroidery on the edges complemented the solid-colored suit nicely. Statement jhumkas, gold jewelry, and block heels completed her ethnic ensemble.
Kriti wore an Ekaya saree in a bright pink hue. The gold cherry blossom designs on the handwoven silk saree contrasted with a light green border. The risqué blouse added a modern twist to her otherwise traditional saree. She opted for a strapless and backless gown with a knot in the back. The star kept her accessories to a bare minimum, opting for huge gold chandbalis that lent a regal touch to her complete ensemble.
Janhvi Kapoor rocked this vibrant red saree by Manish Malhotra. With the blazing red and sensual backless blouse, she absolutely stole the show. The saree was embellished with elaborate embroidery and sequins, and the sleeveless blouse had a plunging neckline and slim beaded straps running down the back. With this ensemble, the actress did not wear any jewelry.
Kiara wore a Tamanna Punjabi Kapoor yellow and white sharara set with a backless yellow kurta with flower embroidery, silver gota patti work, and a flattering halter neck. She finished the look with off-white sharara pants with modest embroidery in pinks and yellows and a similar yellow dupatta draped around her wrists. She completed the appearance with a pair of blue dramatic earrings.
Ananya Pandey looked breathtaking in Krésha Bajaj’s gold lehenga. A backless bralette top, a voluminous skirt, and a dupatta were included in the high-shine lehenga. Metal beaten sequins, matte beads, and delicately woven glass crystals adorned the dress. Throughout the piece, there were star and shell patterns. Ananya wore a choker and a stack of gold bangles instead of the earrings.
