Kapil Sharma To Star In Nandita Das’ Upcoming Project; Not A Comedy Film – DEETS INSIDE

Nandita Das is gearing up for her next project and as per reports, she would be collaborating with actor-comedian Kapil Sharma for the same. It would be interesting to see what the duo will come up with

Nandita Das is ramping up to direct a further interesting project after directing the highly lauded 2018 biographical drama Manto, which starred Nawazuddin Siddiqui. It has been learned that Das has cast Kapil Sharma in the lead role in her unnamed next film. According to a reliable source, it is not a comedy film.  Nandita and Kapil have been talking for a while, and the final details are being worked out.

“Nandita and Kapil are both ecstatic to work on this project together.” They come from very distinct realms, so something mystical is undoubtedly in the works. They are both looking forward to collaborating and attempting to push their own frontiers. Once the ultimate documentation is completed, they will work out the dates, schedules , and other details.  Nandita will also co-produce the film with Sameer Nair’s Applause Entertainment,” a source familiar to the project said.  Aside from Manto, Nandita directed Firaaq, a 2008 political drama starring Naseeruddin Shah, Deepti Naval, Paresh Rawal, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tisca Chopra, and Shahana Goswami, among others.

Meanwhile, the actor-comedian is preoccupied with his hit TV show, The Kapil Sharma Show. Kapil’s show is popular among fans because he doesn’t leave any stone unturned to ask unusual questions to his guests or make the audience ROLF with his witty jokes. Recently the cast of Antim including Salman Khan and his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma made a dashing entry on the sets of Kapil’s show.

Kapil Sharma has previously appeared in Abbas-Kis Mustan’s Kisko Pyaar Karoon and Rajiv Dhingra’s Firangi. He’s also working on a comedy routine with a digital behemoth. Nandita lately made a special appearance in a digital show.  Bollywood. She has Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi starrer, Venu Udugula’s Telugu period-drama, Virata Parvam, in the works. She recently wrote, directed, and starred in The Cuber, a 60-second film starring her son. Kapil Sharma and Nandita Das havent made any official staement yet.
