Salman Khan is the geezer in business, as his gangster drama, Antim: The Final Truth, starring Aayush Sharma, was released worldwide on November 26. While the actor kept a low profile in the pre-release promotional campaign, we have learned that he is planning to heavily promote the film throughout the week with multiple city tours.
It has been revealed that Salman Khan rarely engages in post-release promotions, but he believes that additional efforts are required to bring the audience back to the cinema halls in large numbers due to the pandemic. Antim has received a positive response from the audience, and he hopes that the film will continue to perform well at the box office in the long run. While the post-release campaign was never intended, he has now taken a special break from Tiger 3 filming to promote the film all week.
Salman Khan has been recently spotted with Jordy Patel at the private airport as they leave for Antim promotions in Ahmedabad. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor gets snapped in dapper looks wearing a green sweatshirt paired up with a very cool pair of jeans. He also completed the look wearing a pair of sunglasses that made them look crisper as he jets off the city tour to promote Antim.
Salman and his director, Mahesh Manjrekar, will be in Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Indore, and Hyderabad on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, respectively. He will be visiting movie theatres and interacting with all of the fans who have come to see the film. Aayush, on the other hand, will promote the film during the week in Mumbai, Pune, and Rajasthan before finally joining Salman in Indore. The film had a clear run, particularly on single screens, until the release of Ranveer Singh’s 83, and the makers want to capitalise on this to give the film a longer run. It’s an experimental strategy that they hope will benefit the film in the long run.
In the meantime, Antim had a healthy weekend with collections of Rs 18 crore, and the journey from today will determine the film’s box-office fate. The upward trend over the weekend has given it a chance to succeed.
